Flat plan

Before creating the magazine I created flat plans for the front cover contents page and double page spreas I hand drew these images and then transfered them onto hear. Each flat polan describes what will go where upon each page and the layout and design of the page.

This is the image of the contents page that we designed for the magazine we will follow this as closely as we can when designing but alter it when we need to.

This is the image of the design for the double page spread there will be a large image in the background that spreads across the whole two pages and there willl be two large columns of text for the information to occupy we will also follow this as closely as possible but alter it when we need to.

This is another flat plan that we created we are going to use the front cover design for our real magazine as it is the best design we could come up with and it follows the conventions of magazines that are on the market today so it fits with the market needs and wants.

Images used on front cover

This image was captured using a camera in a classroom at marlwood school the image was inspired by the cover of on the right, we liked the way that the background was plain with a figure as the main peice of the cover as it looked proffesional and the information fits in well around the outside without detracting from the picture. We decided to get our artist to hold his guitar as he was uncomfortable stairing at the camera lense while a flash went off. I am plaesed with how this image turned out as it looks very proffesional there is minimal shadow apart from the shadow we added in editing and it links well with the colour scheme of the wrighting to go ontop.
